Justice is a virtue. Some people may practice justice because they have to, not because they want to. Anyone who could act unjustly without consequences but chooses not to might seem like an idiot to society, yet when face to face amongst one another they would praise the just individual. If one is just but is not recognized as such, then there is no gain, and they endure suffering, so there is no point to practicing being just. People tend to prioritize appearances and opinions over the truth, with this said, why would anyone want to be just? Plato (n.d.).
"Justice is the lesser evil" Williams (2023) Justice is beneficial to the person who have done wrong, because it allows them to reclaim themselves.
