- - - - Lexical cohesion: Mostly inpired by Halliday and Hassan
        
        It can be realised by various forms of reiteration such as repetition of the same word, or of a morphologically related item (un...), or by the construction of a network between words (synonymy, antonymy)
        
        Collocational cohesion: uses related words that typically go together or tend to repeat the same meaning. An example is the phrase "once upon a time".
        
        General words: The child is climbing the tree. The idiot's going to fall. The general word is in italic. It creates a semantic net.
        
        Anaphoric nouns: nouns which are used to refer back to some object or idea already presented in a text. They work as text organizers.
        
        Vocabulary 3: By Winter and Hoey: It operates to anticipate ensuing information and to project the reader forward.
      - Lexical coherence
        
        It's cold here. Yes, it's freezing. It's freezing in here. Yes, cold. The second lacks coherence. The reply is not normal.

      - See is more used for understanding than vision
      - Like is more used for exemplification than for taste
      - It also shows what words are the most frequently used
    - - An example with the word now is shown. It enables learners to encode some of the main sociocultural and discoursal meanings of now.
