The democratically elected governments of Métis Nation of Saskatchewan, Métis Nation of Alberta, Métis Nation of British Columbia and Métis Nation of Ontario serve as the Métis Nation's representatives. These Métis governments serve as the governing members of the Métis National Council, the national and international representative of the Métis Nation, and are the modern manifestation of the Métis Nation's long-standing battle for self-determination inside the Canadian federation.
The MNC Governing Members work to represent the Métis Nation at the local, regional, provincial, national, and international levels. The Governing Members have also demonstrated a track record of providing government services and initiatives in a fair, open, economical, and responsible way in order to satisfy the socioeconomic requirements of Métis Nation inhabitants.
