Formative
Definition: process of gathering evidence of student learning.

Definition: used to track students growth and see if they are on track.
STAAR: Standardized test students take at the end of the year.

: These exams are given to assess students knowledge over time.

A performance assessment is an approach where students show what they know when completing tasks rather than taking a assessment.

Diagnostic
Diagonstics are used to help teachers see what students know and what they need a little more help in.
Running Record
: a way to assess a students reading level.
