Structure of the US Constitution
Articles
There are 7 main articles.
The first three articles, created the three branches of the national government.
Article 4 explains the relationships of a state with the others.
The fifth article explains how ithe constitution can be changed or amend.
The sixth article says that the constitution is the supreme law of the land.
The seventh article is a summery about the other articles.
Amendments
The amendments are changes that were made to the original document of the constitution. This changes were made because it was necessary to add this things to the constitution.
Popular sovereignty and republicanism
The governments authorities comes from the derive of the consent of the people.
Limited Government
The constitution limits the Government to not take full control over the country and make it a tyranny
Federalism
Federalism divides the powers from the federal and state government
Separation of power into three branches of government.
The constitution separated the government into three branches, executive, legislative and judicial each controlling a part of the government.
Checks and balances
Every branch of the national government has the power to control the other two branches.
Individual Rights
The Constitution protects the civil rights.
Beliefs and Principles Today
The government still has the same beliefs and can change when it need for example in the constitution didn't say that the government needed a nuclear power but it does say that it needs to protect their people.
