We can summarise our findings in order to establish that competition, an inherent desire to establish superiority, can be desirable in certain situations and yet not in others. While competition does invoke stress, is prone to being an obstacle for collaboration and can cause a hindrance in success, stirring emotions of fear in people, this happens most often only in extreme competitive cases. Extreme competition therefore is not desirable, and can be impeded in several ways, including creating a healthy environment in workplaces, schools, etc. Competition is ultimately desirable when it is not in extreme, since it can improve motivation, innovation and creates a space for our economies to thrive and grow in. Thus, to conclude, we can note that competition isn't always desirable but it most often is.
