What do I hope to accomplish?
I really hope that by as simple as giving walkers or wheelchairs to those who needs could help them to at least run their days better and easier.
Where do I conduct the service?
Ambengan, Buleleng
When will I do the service?
Approximately about the early of November up to the end of the month.
Why do I choose that community?
I really want to say that it is because my mom is part of the community so it's going to be easier for me:). But actually because of I actually feel bad for those who are living in poverty. Also, I believed that this is one of my way in showing how grateful I am.
Why will I apply my solution to the service?
Being a backbone to a family wasn't the best or even the easiest thing out there. Also, seeing that most of the people which had been helped all these times are elders working as the only source of life to their family while also bearing the financial burden of the family.
How will I conduct the service?
It's quite hard for me to find people whom is in a urgent conditions and are needing such things. Therefore, I will be needing the assist of my mom which is part of the community. The community consist of a coordinator in a spesific area includings volunteers, village head (
kepala desa/banjar)
which will be informing the community if there are a certain person needing our help
What is my concern?
The social gap where not so little people lived under the line of poverty. These conditions were mainly founded in a family, where the elders and people arounds be putting such a big hope on to their youth. Therefore, the elders be working day and night just to send their kids to school. Hoping that once they could change their faith
How is that problem?
In this case, almost all of the elders work in the informal sector (mostly as farmers and ranchers). Meaning that no one could ensure their safety during works. Anything could happen during workdays.
Cases
Mbah made. She lived in sanur and work as a
rujak
and
es campur
seller. We knew her because my mom used to ate there. For to the last two to three months, she barely open her shop which leave me and my mom in confused. Days forward, and lastweek my mom recieved contacts from one of the coordinator, saying that the community will be giving a wheelchair to a women in need in sanur. She went there, but unexpectedly it was Mbah made. Unfortunatelly she's having some accident on May, which cause her to have pinched nerves. Make it hard for her to stand in a long period of time.
