Definition: Is an assessment used to see where students are in their learning. This will determine if the students are on track with their learning to see if they will do well on future assessments.

Debates: This can be a form of assessing to see if the students are understanding the topic they are given.

Running Records: A way a teacher is able to see a students reading level.

Discussion Board: Students will write their name on the white board about what they know.

STAAR Testing: Texas standardized test are given from grades 3-11 in order to assess students knowledge learned in each grade level.

Chapter Tests: When reading a book these type of exams will be able to show the knowledge students are getting from the book.
