Diagnostic
Diagnostic testing defines students' strengths and weaknesses of the students regarding a specific skill set that also is accessing prior knowledge.
An example of this testing is having students struggling in their reading class, take a diagnostic test read different passages, and answer different types of questions. This will be targeting certain skill sets
Another example of diagnostic test is student surveys, students are able to fill out a non-graded survey pertaining to the content area addressing their prior knowledge
