The Agricultural Revolution Caused More Harm Than Good to the Prehistoric Society
Government Arguments
made farmers' lives more difficult
this was prehistoric and as such there is no written testimony to how life was for the farmers themselves and they are only speculating that the farmers had more difficulty. (Need to find a way to cushion the blow of the biological evidence, because while the quality of life for the prehistoric humans can be speculated, the physical and health ramifications can be seen in the remains and bones of the past peeps)
Example C
because of sedentism and agriculture, war was more common
Opposition Arguments
simply because there was bad in the NeoAgri Rev, they cannot assume that if they kept the full-on Hunter-Gatherer lifestyle, their lives would have been any easier
The agricultural revolution did more good than harm, especially compared to the possibility of extinction that the humans faced before fauna and flora domestication
The Cause for the Agricultural Revolution was out of necessity because before Fauna and Flora domestication, many megafauna were being driven to extinction, (and we can argue that the alternative would’ve been extinction for the humans)
The First Agricultural Revolution Did NO MORE DAMAGE TO PREHISTORIC society than was already being done to the society by the society itself
The prehistoric wars during the paleolithic and Mesolithic period were taking place when the "Armies" were not in adequate numbers and would result in one party being completely wiped out
If they say that wars were exacerbated by the neolithic revolution as well as sedentism, we can counter by saying that the Paleolithihc and Mesolitic wars were not wars in our modern definition but rather a ransacking for food. We can also say that Trade started in the Neolithic period which could help prevent the ransackings. And the wars that did come about, would have made way for Diplomacy
