Modern Shape Of Education: the majority of school systems around the world are based on subjects, such as Physics, History, PE or Biology. Yet, knowledge is a unity, it is uncountable. It includes all the information we possess. The idea of chopping this knowledge into disciplines is a 19th century construct, and as the world is becoming more complex, school systems are trying to close the gaps between subjects curricula by offering cross-curricular modules. For example, the Geography curriculum is is connected with many other traditional school subjects, such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and even Fine Arts, but not foreign languages. Thus, CLIL modules, also those taught during general English classes, might be a great way of bridging these curricular gaps.
