on the National Highway 1A, in Phuoc Dan town, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan Province.

Called "Paley Hamu Trok" in the ancient Cham language

meaning "depression village, jutting out at the end of the riverbank". And that river is the Quao river

History

Cham women have breathed life into the clay of the Quao River, creating floral creations and keeping the fire of traditional pottery smarter this year.


They created all kinds of containers from alluvial soil and developed that pottery craft to this day.

Pottery craft is associated with the tradition of "passed down from mother to son"

The founder of this pottery village is Mr. Poklong Chanh, a loyal mandarin of King Po K'long Giarai.

The oldest village in Southeast Asia. At the same time, it is also the only village that makes pottery entirely by hand

Patterns on Bau Truc ceramics are typical of Champa culture such as river motifs and nail patterns.

The products they often use, such as kettles, Siva towers, dancing girls, vases, vases, porcelain vases...

The potter only burns the furnace in the afternoon with little wind and burns in the opposite of wind.

The firing time is about 6 hour at a temperature of 500 degrees Celsicus or more, until the pottery is cooked, we stop to firing.
