A mysterious virus has been found on a different planet. When infected by it, a human is stuck in the state of sleep, in a nightmare, where he is aware that he is dreaming. Though it is possible to exit the dream by causing your dream-self deathly pain, when going back to sleep the next day, and the day after that, and for all of the days in his life, he will continue experiencing the same thing, which will haunt them, and stop them from wanting to fall sleep, which kills the person either by lack of sleep, or the lack of nutrition after not being able to wake up for over 3 days, or from a severe panic attack, or simply by committing suicide from the prospective of having the same huge nightmare for their whole life.
