Love Poems and Songs
Traveling poet-musicians at castles and courts were known as Troubadours.
Composed short verses + songs about romantic love
They would sometimes use their own verses.
Songs that they would sing were about love's disappointments and knights wanting to find love.
The code of chivalry gave out a wrong impression of knights, making them more romantic then they really are.
But created a realistic view of women.
Eleanor of Aquitaine was the most celebrated women at the time
Later one of her sons, Richard composed songs and poems about romance
