Cities
Buildings of Mesopotamia had high amounts of amount of trading and agriculture of the area.
Expanded their cities towards bordering countries, but blocked off by high walls.
Public Works
Public works like irrigation, road/bridge constructions, and defensive walls are all examples of this. Priest had managed the irrigation systems from the ziggurat for instance.
Social Classes
People were ranked based on the jobs they had.(Priest, Wealthy Merchants/Nobles, Artisans, Farmers/Peasants, and Slaves
Complex Religion
The area was covered with full-time priests with little churches around. They believed in Polytheism (believing in in multiple gods), and was spread around by the community and writings.
Art and Architecture
Used temples and ziggurats to express their beliefs throughout the city. Also used statues and inscriptions to identify events in history or values.
Record Keeping
Used scribes with a cuneiform writing style to educate and document. Originated with the records of religious offerings.
Job/Labor Specialization
People would start specializing in certain jobs and only those jobs as population increased. Examples include Artisans, Merchants, soldiers, merchants, and more.
