Eiffel tower
The Eiffel Tower took 2 years 2 months and 5 days to finish being built. People are allowed to take photographs of the tower when it is lit up at night but professionals have to seek permission from the management team.
The tower was built for an attraction to the world fair day 15th May 1889 as the focus was huge constructions made from iron and/or steel. The Eiffel Tower opened to public on the world fair day.
The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 by the engineer Gustave Eiffel. The tower is made from iron and is coated in a thick layer of paint to save it from corrosion. This paint is to then be replaced every 7 years. It approximately 10,100 ton.

Cathedral Notre Dame
The cathedral is home to the holy relics which are: the holy crown worn by Christ, a piece of the cross and a nail. These relics are to be put on display the first Friday of every month.
In 1786, the spire was rebuilt with oak and then followed by a covering with lead in the late 19th century. It was 300 feet high and in 2019 was sadly burned down in a fire.
The Notre Dame de Paris is a cathedral that was built in the very centre of Paris in 1160. In front of the Notre Dame is the reference point of Paris. This is where all distances to and from Paris are measured from.

Louvre museum
The Louvre museum is an iconic place as it is the biggest museum in the world and on top of that the most visited as well with 10 million visitors every year. The Louvre was originally built as a fortress and then went on to become a royal palace during the 16th century. It then became a museum in 1793.
The Louvre is that big it is impossible to view everything in just one day as if you were to look at every piece of art for 30 seconds it would take a whopping 100 days with no sleep just to see them all .

The Louvre Museum is home to the most famous painting ever. The Mona Lisa. This painting is the reason that so many people decide to visit this fascinating place.
In the museum, There are around 380,000 pieces of art in the museum. 350,000 of them are on public display. This museum has a 15 acre span just to accommodate the art.
