- - - - First quartile contains the bottom 25 percent of the results
      - The second quartile contains the lowest 50 percent of the resuults
      - The upper quartile is the 75th percentile - it contains the bottom 75th percent of the results but not the top 25 percent
    - - The range between the first quartile and the third quartile
      - Used to see the spread of data
  - - - Calculate the mean
        
        For each number, subtract the mean and square the results
        
        Work out the average of the squared differences
