Historiography
Is the writing of history based on the critical examination, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the rest of critical examination.
It offers a level of transparency that allows others to see where the information is getting. It also helps to understand why historical events have been interpreted so differently over time.
Characteristics:

Rationality: Research
Growth of Knowledge: New research
Change of views: Prospect of viewing has changed
Memory
Is the process of taking information from the world around us, processing it, storing ir and later recalling that information.
Functions:
Encording: Input of information into the memory system.
Storing: Retention of the information.
Rerieving: Getting information out of storage and into conscious awareness through recall, recognition, and relearning.
Main types:
Sensory: allows you to remember sensory info.
Short-term: Allows you to remember sprecific info for a brief period.
Working: Involves the immediate amount of info that a person actively uses as they perform cognitive tasks.
Long-term: Any memory we can still remember after 30 seconds could classify as this.
