Complex a skill that requires a lot of decision making using lots information when performing the skill
SELF AND EXTERNALLY PACED SKILLS
SELF PACED when the performer controls the start and speed of the skill
EXTERNALLY PACED when the performer has no control over the start and speed of the skill
GROSS AND FINE SKILL
GROSS a kill that uses large muscle groups
FINE a skill that uses finer muscle groups
DISCRETE, SERIAL AND CONTINUOUS SKILL
DISCRETE when the skill has a clear begining and end
CONTINUOUS when there is no clear beginning and end of the skill

when the learning of one skill can be passed across the body from limb to limb for example kicking a football with your right foot and then woth your left

when the learning of one skill has no impact on the learning of another skill for example swimming to rock climbing
