Types of Changeovers
Direct Changeover
Direct Changeover is when the computer system is switched completely to a new system by shutting down the old one

For example, if a school switches its online teaching platform from teams to zoom with no prior testing or warning to users, it will be considered direct changeover
Parallel Changeover
When we run both the old and new system together until the new system is successful in the organization. It relies on continuing with new system whenever appropriate.

For example, a library decides to change its book sorting software and runs both (their new and old) softwares together until the new software is successful.
Pilot Changeover
Changing a part of an organization into new system and it will be paralleled by the rest of the organization running with the old system until satisfaction and success.

For example, our school had managebac for senior classes and toddle for junior classes. The toddle for junior classes was like a pilot and soon it was implemented in the entire school
Phase Changeover
Changing into the new system to a single part first. If it meets satisfaction, then a gradual change (increase in usage) will be done until it is fully implemented.

For example, a business using a different database software first implements it with managers, then senior employees, then executives, then junior employees and then interns.
