Open platform experiment - Coggle Diagram
Open platform experiment
Principles
-
-
Collaboration - Must be open source. All tools developed centrally should be available to use and improve.
-
Data protection - Must have privacy layer built in. Audits of any interactions must be available to the patient/carer
Cost cutting - Must make implementation simpler/quicker, avoid duplication of work
Data quality - Must maintain current data quality and make quality improvement easier/possible - less degradation
-
-
Success - The primary measure of progress is an active community that is implementing the platform, developing new applications and evolving the standard/platform
-
-
-
Data capture forms
-
Data entered into the forms needs to be persisted in local systems as having been entered via that form
-
-
-
Manifesto
-
Enabling and simplifying development of interoperable software over comprehensive compliance to detailed defined standards
-
-
Differences from agile
-
Developing effective and usable standards requires time and collaboration with the community and in many circumstances this is a higher priority than regular software delivery
The agile manifesto doesn't comment directly on transition from legacy systems to a more modern solution but that is a key part of the healthcare IT landscape
