VIP Visits Confirmed
On September 21, ECCC Minister Guibeault met with COP28 President-Designate Dr. Sultan Al Jaber in NY on the margins of UNGA HLW (and Climate Week).
ECCC Minister Guibeault has been invited by the UAE COP28 Presidency to attend Pre-COP in Abu Dhabi on October 30-31.

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is confirmed to visit the UAE on December 5-10 with a TBC delegation of industry and academic partners.

Premier François Legault is anticipated to participate in COP28 along with Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy and Benoit Charette, Minister of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks. The Premier is only expected to be in the UAE for the early part of COP.
