A low resistance and a low current mean that the transmission wires will not heat up as much. As a result, most of the power is delivered to the consumer, and not lost through the wires.

According to Newton's First Law of motion, an object remains in the same state of motion unless a resultant force acts on it. If the resultant force on an object is zero, this means:
-
a moving object continues to move at the same velocity (at the same speed and in the same direction)
Atomic structure
Atoms, isotopes and ions
Atoms are very small, they have a radius of around 1 × 10-10 metres.
The modern view of the atom is of a nucleus containing protons and neutrons with smaller electrons orbiting outside the nucleus.

Forces, acceleration and Newton's laws
Terminal velocity
Near the surface of the Earth, any object falling freely will have an acceleration of about 9.8 metres per second squared (m/s2). Objects falling through a fluid eventually reach terminal velocity
-
-
at the start, the object accelerates downwards due to the force of gravity
as the object's speed increases, frictional forces such as air resistance or drag increase
at terminal velocity, the weight of the object due to gravity is balanced by the frictional forces, and the resultant force is zero
