The Basilica of the Sacre Coeur is located at the summit of the hill if Montmartre, on the right bank of the river seine.

To reach Basilica you have to climb 270 steps. on reaching the top you would have a beautiful panoramic view of Paris. From the point you can see Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Opera house, Montparnasse Tower, Pompidou Centre and the Pantheon.
Montmartre, the hill on which the Sacre Coeur stands, is translated to the '' mount of Martyrs
Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is a huge archway were twelve main roads meet in the centre of Paris. One of the roads is the champs Elysees.

There is an eternal Flame that was lit on 11th November 1923 and has never been extinguished. at 6:30 every evening, wreaths are laid into flames by veterans to keep it eternally burning.

Tour Eiffel

The Eiffel tower is made out of iron and is coated in thick layer of paint to protect it from corrosion. it must be re-painted every 7 years
It weighs approximately 10,100 tons. the metal framework weighs 7,300 tons and the paint weighs 60 tons.

Catherdrale Notre-Dame
Notre-Dame de Paris was built in 1160 in the very centre of Paris. The Original bells were melted into cannon balls during the French Revolution of 1791.
The Holy Relics: The Holy crown worn by Christ. A piece of the cross, A nail.
The Original Spire was removed in 1786 and rebuilt in Oak covered with lead in the late 19th century. the spire was 300 feet high and unfortunately this ironic spire and the roof were destroyed by fire in 2019.

Champs Elysees
Each day over 300,000 people walk the streets of the Champs Elysees. it is one of the most expensive real estates in the world. the hotels around the Champs Elysees are most expensive in any city.

there are very few houses in the Champs Elysees and with rent costing 1.5 million euros no one can afford to live there.
The Champs Elysees is one of the roads leading from the Arc de Triomphe and provides an excellent photographic backdrop.
As you walk along the Champs Elysees you will see many famous shops such as adidas, Longchamp, louis Vuitton, and Dior to name but a few.
The Champs Elysees means Elysian Fields from Greek mytholigy in referiance to the afterlife or heaven.
