Before Muhammad was born, his father died. - Coggle Diagram
Before Muhammad was born, his father died.
Until he was 2, Muhammad was sent to live with Bedouin Arabs. When he was 6, his mother died. He was now an orphan.
He then went to live with his grandfather. He worked as a shepherd until he was sent to live with his uncle.
Now 11 years old, Muhammad's uncle Abu Talib took care of him. Being a wealthy businessman, he taught Muhammad a lot.
After 14 years, Abu Talib's business failed. He told Muhammad to work for Khadijah, the wealthiest businesswoman in Makka, and soon to be Muhammad's wife.
They had 6 children. 2 boys, and 4 girls. Both boys died when they were young.
Muhammad saw what Makkah was like. It was full of cheating, gambling, drinking, and prostitution, with very few religious people, it was known as "The Age of Ignorance".
Muhammad decided to take up meditating. He spent very little time in Makkah, instead spending time alone in Cave Hira on Mount Nur.
He eventually gained the title of Al-Amin, "The Trustworthy One".
Then, one night while he was meditating, He received a message from Allah. The angel Jibril spoke to him. After being convinced to return by his wife, Jibril asked him to "Recite". This was the start of the revelation in the Qur'an, the word of Allah. This changed Muhammad's life forever. He kept having these experiences for 23 years.
