Life
By playing God, tragedy unfolds. Frankenstein's decision to create the Creature leads to murder and heartbreak, showing the complexity and morality in play when trying to control things that are beyond our understanding.

Isolation
For both The Creature and Frankenstein, the suffer the consequences of being isolated. They end up committing violent acts in their attempts to curb their isolation.
Humanity
The Creature makes us question what it means to be human. He was rejected by society because of his appearance, but he ultimately shows himself to be more human than many of the other characters in the play. This raises important questions about the nature of humanity, and what it means to be part of a communiy.

During his conversation with De Lacey, The Creature discusses his sadness at being "solitary". He has also been secretly helping the couple, even though he knows he will never actually see them. He does this to feel like he has a purpose and sense of belonging, albeit in the shadows.

Key Moments
the creature appears when william is alone playing hide and seek and once he learns of William's connection to Frankenstein, he kidnaps him in an attempt to get Frankenstein's attention and takes him to the mountain where he proceeds to kill him as he believed Frankenstein wouldn't speak to him otherwise. Then sends William's dead body back in a boat with Frankenstein's notes from his journal which leads Frankenstein to try and find the creature

In the beginning of the play when the creature attempts to help Gretel, she sees his appearance and runs away then the rest of the people try to hurt him, teaching the creature early on that people are afraid of him
