- The minstery of defence negotiated the following solutions:
- Access is allowed during the weekends and busy hoildays and the access roads are kept open during the hoilday
- Reduced live firing excerising to lower noise levels during weekends and hoildays to appease locals

- Many rare specices thrive in the ranges where access is limited
Litter

- Increased litter especially on beaches such as Chesil Beach
Solutions
- Voluntary litter picks are arranged by local groups
- Lulworth has no litterbins and encourages visitors to take their rubbish home
EVALUATION
- The litter pick relies on people volunteering and are often on Sundays, this could lead to people not showing
Traffic
CONFLICTS
- Congestion particulary at honeypot areas such as Corfe Castle
- Noise and air poulltion from traffic congestion
- Increased traffic and congestion due to no motorway access, small coastal roads and high volumes of visitors.
Solutions
- Lulworth Estate has provided a large car park for over 500 vehicles outside the village.
- There is restricted entry for vehicles to west Lulworth for residents only
EVALUATION
- Money collected from the car park is invested in the local area to fund facilities
Fires
CONFLICTS
- Fires are common as people bring food to BBQ, increasing the risk of accidents and buring of grassy areas
Solutions
- A ban has now been imposed on fires and BBQs across Dorset castle
EVALUATION
- People will ignore the rule and it is hard to catch everyone
- However, there are specially designated areas and times where people can BBQ

- Coastal footpath ersion - The southwest coastal path is most heavily used in sections and experiences considerable footbath erosion
Solutions
- Building steps into steeper sections to discourage straying from the paths
- Resurfacing paths with local stone.

Tourist vs Farmers
CONFLICTS
- Tourists open farm gates, climb over field walls and fences, and trample across fields
Solutions
- Kissing gates and self-closing gates are used to remove the need to open farm gates or climb over walls
EVALUATION
- These are expensive to the farmer who has to pay to install and maintain
- People fishing at various coastal spots may be disrupted by activities such as water skiing.
