Plants to Soil
When the plants shed their leaves they fall of the soil and then they will decompose and then that puts nutrients back in to the soil.

The plants are a source of food for a huge amount of the animals that live in the temerate grasslands
Climate

Monthly temperatures are high throughout the year, between 26 and 28 degrees C
Annual rainfall is often over 2,000 mm; a thundery downpour happens most afternoons
Flora
Vegetation exists in distinct layers, from highest emergents to the canopy, under the canopy, and the shrub layer.

Adaptations include large roots to support the trees, leaves with pointy tips to allow water to run-off without harming them, smooth bark to allow water to run down easily, thin trunks to be able to grow upwards to the sunlight, or are able to climb trees to get the sunlight they need
Fauna
Animal species include toucans, monkeys, chameleons and frogs; the poison dart frog is brightly coloured to ward of predators.
