"Across the U.S., nearly 50 percent of adults with OUD have low incomes and nearly 25 percent live in poverty."
Businesses supporting others is such a plus for businesses. They will get such a good look on themselves. Also if someone has the money why would they not want to help
The mark center in BG, KY is a mens recovery center. This is an amazing place to help people get back on their feet after addiction. Most people in addiction become poor.

It is so sad we live in a world where some people act too good for the poorer people. If I was a wealthy person in my community I would do everything I could to help people with a less income still get nice things or even the basic thngs everyone else gets.

Income Problems
We all know there are places that are known for being poor. This could be passed down for years of it being a poor community. Living in a poor place would make you have a less income because they wouldn't have money to give to everyone. Most people don't have money to move away to a more higher end city.
There are some jobs that require a degree, well as most of you know how expensive college is, many cant afford it. Even if you got scholarships for being in lower income, school time takes away from work time where then they can't save money to try to get out of poverty.
Many jobs that have good pay require tier workers to dress a certain way. People in poverty that need higher income jobs many not have the resources to get per-say, nice clothes, supplies, ect. I would love to start a clothing/supply drive to help people who needs these things be able to get them for free.

Pandemic problems
Covid 19 took a huge toll on many countries. I hate that we went through that time and that some people are still effected by it.
Food/product prices have gone up a tremendous amount and gas prices. This leaves people either hungry or even more broke just after buying the bare minimum
Kentucky did a great job supporting the people struggling from the backlash of covid. The government sent out stimulus checks to people who have a recorded steady job which helped many people who were struggling for money.

No jobs=no money. As everyone knows, during covid, many businesses shut down and so many people were not able to make money and provide for their families.
Luckily we live in a town where the schools started giving out bags of lunch food with all the needs at the end of the days on Friday for kids to eat. Some kids don't get food after they leave school
Protective Services
Many different churches allow homeless people in and give so many different opportunities for people to receive assistance. My church, Crossland Community Church, does one special thing for people who are struggling during prom season. The child is allowed to come in to the church and gets assistance finding a free prom dress, and to get their make up and hair done for free.
The Salvation Army provides beds and food for people in need. They do have some requirements but most everyone is welcome. It is a great way to help yourself get back up on your feet again.
