What is climate change and why do we need to fix it
Causes of Climate Change
Pollution
Chemicals being released into the atmosphere by cars, factories, and other plants are going through chemical reactions reducing the air quality.
Deforestation
Forests are being cut down to create farms, manufacturing plants, or for other reasons.
When trees are cut down, they release the carbon dioxide they have been storing.
Forests are a natural way of removing emissions from the air we breath. Deforestation is devastating the Earth's ability to cleanse its atmosphere.
Over Consumption
Today, most people live in luxury leading to overuse and waste of items.
Littering
Some people decide to leave their waste out in nature harming the animal species of that environment not allowing them to fulfill their niche.
Prosperity
The human race has been reproducing and populating the planet for thousands of years. It is our duty to continue that cycle and work towards a better future for our children.
Teach new generations to be better than the last and take better care of the planet
This is a problem that will be inherited by all generations until it is solved.
The later that humans decide to support climate action and make a change, the harder it will be to reverse the damages in the future.

Gasses are trapping the suns heat in our atmosphere heating up the planet killing its ecosystems
Scientists are researching new ways to use waste as resources and create more efficient ways to travel like electric cars
Everyone has a part to play
Watch the amount of waste you produce and try to cut back
Consider renewable energy options if possible
Going Green
Humans are finding ways to produce green energy that does not add pollutants into the atmosphere.
Wind
Harnessing the power of the wind, large turbines are built and generate power in windy areas.
Solar
Solar technologies convert sunlight into electrical energy through photovoltaic cells in solar panels.
Hydroelectric
Generates power by using a dam or other structure to convert then energy of flowing water into electricity.
Geothermal
Draws fluids that are heated up from underground reservoirs to the surface to produce steam that then drives a turbine and produces electricity.
Biomass
Organic material that comes from plants and animals. It contains stored chemical energy from the sun that can be converted into gaseous fuels or burned directly.
Recycling
Reusing our materials so that we can eliminate substantial waste and have more materials
