you don't want to study something you might regret
just because you might regret it does not mean you should discourage someone else from learning; learning is always valuable
some careers don't need a university degree
but if you haven't learnt enough before you start working, you can have bigger problems down the line
useful as a back-up for the future
school and exams can be overwhelming
you can prepare for this to manage the stress of exams, etc; many strategies available
teaches you how to deal with stress in other areas of life
feedback from these exams is very helpful, even if you are afraid of failing
massive debt
does not know their career path
university might help you make this decision
find something you really love
work experience might be more valuable than theoretical knowledge
the long process of going through university helps you build lots of other skills apart from what you need for a job
entering the workforce earlier
jobs without degrees have less security so you may not always have it
this is not always a good thing, especially if it comes from peer pressure
having a high-paying job from a degree is not important for everyone
maybe, but it will also affect the people around you, and your future relationships
university does not suit everyone's learning style
there are alternative places apart from uni where you can learn valuable skills and lessons.
