Characterization
Characterization is a literary device that is used to detail and explains the aspects of a specifically crafted character in a novel, play, or poem.

Thought and Feelings: This type of characterization is when the character is developed through his thinking of feeling about something.
Example: “three distinct roads to being a happy person”- From the text “Can We Cultivate Our Own Happiness”.
Indirect Characterization: The author shows the reader how the character develops through the story by: actions, speed, thoughts and reactions.
Exemple: The author from the story Thank you, M’am tells us how Mrs. Jones reacts when he tries to steal from her: “Firmly gripped by his shirt front, the boy”
Other’s reaction: The character is developed through what others think, say, and do in response to them
Example: “Um-hum! And your face is dirty. I got a great mind to wash your face for you. Ain’t you got nobody home to tell you to wash your face?”-From the text “Thank You, M’am”.

Enjambment
Enjambment, is a poetic term for the continuation of a sentence or phrase from one line of poetry to the next.
End-stop
An end-stop refers to a pause at the end of a poetic line. An end-stop can be marked by a period (full stop), comma, semicolon, or other punctuation denoting the end of a complete phrase or cause

Rising Action: Mrs Luella take Roger down, and confront him about her purse.
Climax: They go to Mrs Luella house and she tells him the being a thief isn't right, and she asks him, why he was doing that.
Falling Action: Roger tell Mrs Luella that he was robbing people because he really wanted a blue sneakers, and he didn't had parents to buy him this gift.
Resolution: After Roger be concious that steeling is wrong, Mrs Luella decide to present him with the blue sneakers that he really wanted.
