Biodegradability: is the ability of a material to decompose by living organisms, such as bacteria and fungi.

Specific gravity: the ratio of a substance’s density to a standard substance. This is the reason why it is also known as relative density. Since specific gravity is a ratio between two densities, it is a dimensionless quantity wherein no physical dimension is assigned.

Intensive versus Extensive Properties of Matter: Additional categories for physical characteristics of matter include intensive and extensive. Based on whether a physical characteristic is dependent on the mass of a substance, this classification is made. While some physical characteristics depend on the amount of matter present, others are independent of it.
Extensive properties: The amount of matter affects the physical characteristics known as extensive properties. When the amount of matter is reduced or increased, these properties alter. Mass and volume are two of matter's many qualities.
Intensive properties: Physical characteristics known as intensive qualities don't depend on the volume of a substance. For instance, an object's hue is independent of its quantity. Whether one jar or one spoon are used as an example, the color of the sugar crystals stays the same: white. The density, melting, freezing, and boiling points are other illustrations of intense qualities.
