Caste in Stone
Session 1-8
The Diamantaires receive transmission from our Garnet commander, Tsavorite. Instructed to rescue a Milky Quartz for a noble Gem (Prehnite) from two handships commandeered by Pirates.
Primary Event
Arriving in the system as a Homeworld fleet encircles the region, the party is able to substantially damage the ships enough to allow for boarding, and clean retrieval of the captured Quartz.
Returning her prized Quartz to the Noble named Prehnite, the Handship is temporarily sealed in drydock by the upper crust as the party is 'invited' to join her ongoing festivities.
The party stumbles an old, unattended to friend: Cubic Zirconia! she's joined by two nobles, a Jade and Moldavite
Moldavite goads the party into taking Jade under their wing in Prehnite's games, so they may both earn Zirconia from Prehnite and earn Prehnite's attention for Jade.
Violet is a bad mother and has abandoned her recently stolen baby
The party decides it benefits them and their friends to join Prehnite's tournament
Their first obstacle; The Haze Hunt. Riding upon a Light Kite and armed with crossbows and spears, the party competes with groups of other riders in order to pop the most Wacky Inflatable Waving Bubble Guys.
The game is a major success! Using the Strubies spear, Jade manages to down a multitude of Gas Boys with a single strike and wins the game. However, it's very clear throughout that the party has made foes of a Pyrope and a Red Zircon
Their second obstacle: The Stratopause Arena. The party must gather all they can muster, and fight a battle against Prehnite's gathered warrior gems to prove their mettle to the crowds of Nobles watching.
Jade is horribly down bad for Prehnite, and is depressed hoping to one day catch her attention.
Neither Gem seems to know anyone named 'Violet Sapphire' outside of Zirconia having known her, and are unaware of Zirconia's origin or relation to the party
The party has the misfortune of crossing paths with an old enemy- Serpentine, from the Heist they were supposed to stop. She's about as disagreeable and feisty as before.
Appears to be trying to distract the party? Establishes a proper vendetta with the party
The party quickly finds themselves upon a new member of their merry band as a reward for their service- their very own (cracked) Peacock Pearl!
