architecture / technology: In the text it is said that some of the greatest inventions came from China. Paper is one of inventions and drastically improved printing and communication. Also, gunpowder was invented which changed battles and fights. (Cotterell 22)

Ancient India
location: In the text it said that in South Asia around 5000 years ago people started a civilization on the indus river. The river was fertile and gave good soil as well as water. They also had the indus plain as a resource with it having high mountains, ocean, and a desert. (world studies)
writing: The writing of ancient India cannot be deciphered. Over 400 symbols have been uncovered on seal and ceramic pots. Because pf the fact we can't read the symbols we don't know a lot about ancient India. (world Studies)
architecture/technology: The people in the indus valley cared a lot about hygiene. Their homes and structures resemble that. The text say that their cities were ¨ well planned ¨, with wide and straight roads and large buildings.( world studies)
government: In the text it said that the government in India is called the caste system. The caste system consists of social classes and which one you were born to cannot change.Lastly there are 4 classes Vaishya,Kshatriya,Brahmana,Sudra,and Dalits. (world studies)
