Mesopotamia
Location:The author wrote that the ancient Greeks called the are Mesopotamia which means "between the rivers" because it was located between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. Also the graphic shows that "most of ancient mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq." (Steele 6)
Art:The Mesopotamians made crafts like making sculptures.I know this because the graphic shows a clay molded head.Also the author wrote they were able to make jewelry because the graphic shows a gold necklace with all kinds of jewels.(Steele 28)
Government:The author wrote that the sumerians had rulers who loved power .The author says that the rulers thought they could rule over the will of a god or goddess.(Steele 10)
Architecture :The author wrote that "ziggurats,a massive terraced platform made of brick ".They knew how to make these kind stuff back then.(Steele 24)
Religion:In the passage the graphic says that sumerians worshiped many gods and goddesses .The author says they even thought a crescent moon was a boat of the moon god.(Steele 14 )
Writing:The passage says that their writing was used with about 700 symbols which were drawn on small clay tablets .The author says that they used sticks with tipped edges to write.The passage says that they also used clay tokens to record sale and receipts .(Steele 12 )

Location: The author said that 90 percent of egypt was sand .The graphic shows that the egyptians lived on either side of the nile river.(Hart 8)
Religion:The author says they were polytheistic which means they believe in two or more gods.They worship hunderheads of gods and most them represents animals.In the passage the author wrote they mostly believed in different gods but all of them believed in the sun god. (Hart 24)
Government:The author said that egyptians had pharaohs who were like kings thought to be gods.The graphic shows that they were called pharaohs because that meant big house.The author wrote that one pharaoh ruled when they were 6 and died at 100 (Hart 10)

Art:In the passage for art they would make all kinds of jewelry in all shapes and sizes shining like gold.The author said they get the material from mines between the nile river and the red sea.The graphic shows a famous piece of jewelry is the royale bracelet with a cool design of 2 cobras right next to a person

architecture: The author said that the ancient chinese people most famous build was the grand canal. The author wrote" The grand canal was built by the sui emperor yang di". Also the text said "This great waterway was perfected by the ming engineer Song li in 1411".(Cotterell 39)
location:The author wrote that "China was the first united as a single state in 221 B.C by the first emperor. Also another fact that was in the text was "The great wall, seen at the top of the map ,was built in 214 B.c and linked with the city walls" This shows how large it was. ( Cotterell 6)
writing: In the text it said that the shang king used the oracle bones to talk to their ancestors. Ox bones or tortoiseshells were burnt until they cracked. People read the cracks to discover answers about their ancestors. (Cotterell 11)

Art:In the text it said that the people of Ancient china cherished luxury goods like bronze ,jade and silk. Also The author wrote "China has always been reowened for its exquisite art and crafts. Finally "china is famous for high quality ceramics" (Cotterell) 56)
trade The author wrote In ancient china for trades they would make a route called the silk road which would help them make trades . The text said "Trade flourished under the mongol(Yuan) empire dynasty . government: Ancient china had an empire which means they had an emperor that ruled the empire. The passage said "In 221 B.C the chinese empire formed and a leader named zheng appeared. Also the graphic shows that " Zheng created a tomb guarded by many terracotta soldiers". (Cotterell 58)
religion:The chinese people believed in dragons a lot. The author wrote " The ancient chinese people believed that dragons inhabited every river ,lake and sea and also lived high in the sky among the rain clouds". Also The author says "The chinese dragon is a terrifying thing but it represents wisdom,strength and goodness.(Cotterell 17)

LocationIn the text it says "Around 5,000 years ago, a civilization developed along the Indus River alluvial plain (floodplain), in South Asia, due to the large amount of fertile land and proximity to a water source." It also says Indus Valley has rich, fertile soil.
Writing: The source said that their writing cannot be deciphered. Many symbols have been found on seals, ceramic pots and other materials. people wondered if they did have proper writing. (World Studies)
