Mesopotamia
location: The author wrote that the ancient Greeks called the area Mesopotamia. which means" between the rivers because it was located between the Tigris and the Euphrates. Also the graphic shows that " most of ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq."[Steele 6]
Government: In the text it talks about how kings ruled over city states. These King claimed to be men of the gods and they carried out the deeds of the gods as proven in the text" Sumerian kings claimed to rule by the will of the gods and therefor had to perform certain religious duties." The text said that each king ,lord, or governor rules over a city state as proven in the text here" City-state rulers were honored with various titles such as en [lord], ensi [ governor], or luga [king].[ Steele10]
art:In the text The Art of Hunting was described as more of a ritual for the gods than an art form as proven in the text"However, to the rulers in their walled cities on the plains, hunting became more of a richual, designed to show off the king's bravery, superiority, and the favor for the gods." In the text they loved the art of hunting so much they carved engraving into the wall of times they hunted as said " It's walls were alive with carvings of battles and hunting scene, or images of defeating peoples paying tribute to the great king.[Steele 46]

religion: In the text the egyptians had a polytheism religion.They had so many gods it was hard to keep track of all of them, so they gave them an animal as said here" Many of the gods are represented by animals."In the text the gods had different jobs like the god Amun-Re is the pharaohs protector. The text said" As Amun-Re, he was the king of the gods and protector of the pharaoh when he went on military campaigns."[Hart24]
government: The text said the Egyptians were ruled over by a pharaoh thought to be a god.I know this because the text said" The king was not only the most powerful and important man in Egypt-he was thought to be a god." The text said That Egypt was also ruled by a queen who was seen as a goddess. I know this because the text said"The queen of Egypt could also be seen as a goddess but was usually given the title of "Great royal wife"Only rarely did women rule Egypt in their own right."[Hart10]
art: In the text the art of hunting was mainly for the king. I know this because the text said" At the time of the pharaohs farming produced an abundance of food, so hunting was mainly a recreation for the kings and courtiers."Also in the text they hunted birds by throwing a stick at the wildfowl.I know this because the text said" Here the technique was to hurl a throw stick as the wildfowl flew up from the tickets."[Hart44]

writing: In the text the Egyptians write hieroglyphics on the walls of a tombs going left to right, right to left, top to bottom.I know this because the text said" They could be written from left to right, right to left, or top to bottom."In the text the hieroglyphics were used for many things like business letters, stories, and contractes.
