Writing: on page twelve it says "the sumerians devised the worlds first script or writing system."the book also stated that they used the writings to represent cattle grain and fish. in conclusion the writing helped the Sumerians keep records of their stuff
Government on page 30-31 it says Babylon was first mentioned more than 4,300 years ago as a city of the Akkadian empire.the author also wrote "by 1900 BCE it had been taken over by the Amorites from the deserts to the west. STEELE
Religion: on page 14 it said "the Sumerians worshipped many gods and goddesses. " the author also wrote "the assyrians were protected by Ashur and his wife Mullissu."(steele)
Architecture on page 24 it says "the ziggurats themselves had small temples or shrines on top reached by long stairways"

Art on page 56 it says"In the Nile River and the Red Sea there is gold everywhere." the author also wrote the gold could be beaten into shape of cast into mold." Hart

Location : On page 6 it said the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers flowed southward through the Middle East. Also, the author wrote "much of the region is now hot desert, but many areas were more fertile in antiquity." (Steele 6)

Hieroglyphs were the complicated Egyptian form of writing with 700 different signs meaning different things. The author wrote " ... elaborate form of picture writing with 700 different signs." (Hart 34)
The egyptian people worshipped many different gods that affected their lives purpose . The author wrote " The egyptians worshipped hundreds of different gods and goddesses". (Hart 24)
Ancient China
Location on page 8 it says China's borders embedded and flowed with its changing dynasty. It also says there were many great inventions: paper, printing, gunpowder and the compass were some great inventions.
Writing: On page 11 it said the Shang kings used oracle bones to talk with their ancestors. The oracle bones were burnt until they cracked. The questions were written on tortoiseshells or on ox bones. (Cotterell 11)
Art. on page 32 it says: this delicate jade bowl is carved in the shape of a bi, a disc used in ancient rituals. it also says it is inscribed with a poem by the manchu or Qing emperor Qianlong cotterell

Religion: the religion of ancient china was oracle bones and confucius. it says in the book that it is a religion that has people be kind and nice and learn from their family it ultimutt end up in a good thing.

Architecture/Technology. In the text it says the people within the Indus Valley created well-planned cities. Specifically, the people during this time cared deeply about hygiene, and their cities resembled the importance of this idea. These early cities show remnants of the world's earliest sanitation system. With the cities, people could obtain water from wells.
Location: it says The Indus River Valley covers most of modern-day Pakistan, the northwestern region of modern-day India, and a small portion of Afghanistan. It also says that over time, not that many of settlements were built on the banks of the Indus River and surrounding areas. Also In the 1920s, under layers of land and mounds of dirt, archaeologists discovered the remains of 4,000 year old cities
Government: in the text it says one Aryan influence on modern-day India was the development of the caste system. It also says a caste is a social group in which people are born and they cannot change. Also people were divided based on wealth and occupation

Religion:In the text 1500 bc aryans it says the religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism. It also says Both religions have much in common and sare many rituals.The Vedas are mostly religious texts, but they also described famous victories of the Aryans as they invaded India
Writing: It says One of the most confusing aspects of this ancient civilization is that the writing cannot be deciphered. Over 400 symbols have been uncovered from different locations. Many of the symbols are located on seals, ceramic pots, and other types of materials.
