Key Principles

Social Justice or fairness (what are people due, what basis should currency of justice be distributed)
addressing the most important social and economic determinants of health (e.g, healthcare, living conditions, working conditions, etc.)
redistributing resources and processes in ways that help to equalize health outcomes of disadvantaged social groups with advantaged

health as a human right = rights-based approach focusing on needs of those furthest behind (e.g., accountability, equality and non-discrimination, participation)
