Types of Operating Systems

Batch Operating System (Payroll & Banking):

Some processes are lengthier than others & require alot of time to continue processes

User doesn't need to interact with the computer

End user must prepare their job in offline device such as punch card and submit to operator

Allows multiple users to submit work and be processed at same batch work, speeding a lengthy process

Distributed Operating System

Collection of autononous and interconnected computers

Independent from CPU & Memory - Connect to same network

Remote Access needs & projects or worldwide jobs - Users could access files & software from another place that isn't on their system

Mobile Operating System (Tablets, Smartphones, various wearable or remote handled devices)

IOS, Android, Blackberry

All smartphone users use this

Time Sharing/Multitasking Operating System (Reduced time for each task)

To speed it, BOS is used for these projects and jobs

Multiple tasks through one processor: CPU processing during fixed, small time-interval

No Task backlog; designated interval to be executed at specific time

Network Operating System

Collection of various computers that connect to one host computer & run on single server

Allow shared access of files, apps, security, & other access and networking features agent computers can acquire

Realtime-Operating System (Military, Space, Global Time Tracking, Weather Forcasting):

Executed in very small intervals & time constraints to achieve near actual real-data output

All real world where real-time near instant data output is needed would use RTOS to achieve real-time info for crucial info instantaneously
