Trump
Policies
Much of Donald Trumps own website provides little infomation on his planned policies for election. However, on some issues.
Trump deos provide some infomation on his plans for migration and the southern border, in this plan he sets out a range of policy reversals from the Biden adminstration (such as reintrodicing Remain in Mexico) as plans on increasing policing and national guard abilities to remove criminals [
1
].
On drug cartels he also outlines strong policies that include a more militaristic response that includes classing them as terrorists. There is also a pledge to strengthen the police with increased funding and protections [
2
].
Although he gives no means to achieve this policy Trump declares that he will reject globalistion.
He declares his support for educational reform including the introduction of a prental bill of rights.
His website talks about dealing with censorhip and supporting free speech through resticting government angencies control over speech and placing limits on social media restriction on free speech. Linked to this he has a section dedicated to "free, honest and lawful elections" that promises reforms to create more secure elections.
Futher election/lobbying reforms included term limits on Congressmen and increased rules on lobbying, created through a constiutional amendment.
How much has he raised?
Trump has raised more then $45 million in the third quater of the year, increasing his quaterly take by 30% from the last quater, this appears to be boosted by his legal challanges that act as a good source of fundrasing. So far he has raised by far the most out of any Republican candiate. [

Ron De Santis
Policies
DeSantis has taken a strong stance on abortion calling for a 6 week ban, this is stricter then a 15 week ban he introduced soon after the Supreme Court rulling. [
4
]
DeStanis has posited him self as tough on woke. He decleared that Folrida is where "woke geos to die" and has introduced controvisal educational laws limiting the discusion of sexuality in schools [
4
].
DeSantis has run on a strong, anti immigration policy stand point endorsing Donald Trump's idea of building a wall and has sent assylum seekers in Florida to Democrat states [
4
]. DeStanis has also pledged to "use force in Mexico on day one of his presidency" [
5
] to tackle the drug cartels.
On economics DeSantis would reduce American coperation with China and he wants to drive economic growth by cutting regulations [
6
].
Nickey Haley
Policies
She has had a mixed immigration policies, not as tight on certian issues then other candidates ("No one who is willing to work hard, abide by our laws, and love our traditions should ever feel unwelcome in this country,”) [
8
] a more moderate stance that seems to accept a degree of economic migration. However, she has also been tough on Mexico, not directly calling for military action, but threating the Mexican president with the possibility [
5
].
Economically she is a strong fiscal conservative. She has opposed the expansion of Medicaid, with her refusing to expand it when she was govenor of South Caroliner. Simerly she is a strong tax and spending cutter in the aim of cutting national debt [
8
].
Chris Christie
Policies
Christie describes himself as pro-life, but has argued that the issue of abortion should remian in the hands of the states, meaning that he opposes a federal ban on abortion [
7
].
On the topic of gun control Christie has turned back on his previous support for an assult rifle ban, now declaring that mass shootings are caused by a mental health crisis [
7
].
He has also come out strongly in support of Ukraine, arguing that it is the best way to deter China, Iran and North Korea from also launching agreesive actions [
7
].
However, he has become most famous within his presidental bid for his strong opposition to Donld Trump's presidental bid, he told NPR that "I think it's the conduct of the man that disqualifies him from being president" differing him from the rest of the pack being strongly anti-Trump [
8
].
Vizek Ramasamwy
Policies
He describes himself as pro-life and supports states implementing a 6 week abortion ban, but opposes a federal ban saying "the federal government should stay out of it" [
9
].
He has stood on an economically neo-liberal policy standpoint [
10
].
He wants to shape himself after Regan calling for a cutting 75% of government regulators.
He wants to cut regulations on energy to increase fracking, increasing oil use.
He wants to end Johnson's Great Society, reducing benefits with the aim of putting "American's back to work".
His foriegn policy is strongly anti-China, saying we need to declare indepedence from China [
10
], he also calls for a softer policies for Ukraine calling for the US to stop sending aid and for Ukraine to make concessions [
9
]..
Chances of winning
Donald Trump is polling way ahead of the rest of the Republican candidates [
11
] having a new 50 point lead over seccond place De-Santis. The legal challanges he faces are the only major barricade for his victory [
12
], if he is found guilty on some of the charges this may (although it may not) knock him out of the race.
De-Stanis and Haley are both neck and neck with each other for seccond place, but it seems De-Santis has lost momentum with his polling dropping from 34% to 13%. Meanwhile Haley is appearing on the up rising from 2.6% to 10% [
11
]. It apears Haley is likely going to be the best never-Trump challange.
Non of the other candidates appear to have much hope, with non of them polling in double digts.
