- - - - It would discourage criminals from committing crimes. This is because they would not want to die so capital punishment is good deterrence
      - The Old testimony promotes justice. TBS "An eye for an eye". this illustrates that crimes should be punished proportionally and people should pay for what they have done wrong
      - Jesus states "Act justly and love mercey"
    - - Some Christians would disagree because Jesus sed "Let without sin cast the first stone"
      - CP does not allow criminals to reform. This is because they are not given a second chance to change for the better
      - ST Poul teaches "Do not repay evil for evil... do not take revenge". This means that we should be mercifull and not be like the one who did the crime
