Present Simple - simple present tense. It shows an action that occurs regularly, with a certain frequency. At first glance, it may seem that this time is exactly the same as our present time. Indeed, in most cases the functions of the Present Simple and the Russian present tense coincide. But there are still differences.
Statement
The Present Simple is formed very simply; we remove the particle to from the verb and put it in second place in the sentence, after the subject. Present Simple is one of the few tenses that does not use an auxiliary verb in a statement.
The subject can be a pronoun or a noun. With the pronouns he, she, it and singular nouns (a boy, a girl, a plant), the ending -s (-es) appears on the verb.
