The people on the freedom ride are from the university of Sydney
The university of Sydney students helped by going to country towns saw the living conditions and helped indigenous rights.
The university students were wanting aboriginal rights so they went to the country towns to help get aboriginal rights
1967 referendum
Most of the important people helping were the Australians voting.
The referendum was held so that the constitution can be changed so the aboriginal people can finally have rights.
They held the referendum so that the public can say yes or no if they would like the constitution changed.
federation
some important people who helped federation are sir Henry parks and sir Edmund Barton.
some reasons for federation are travelling between different colonies, better defense forces and there would be one immigration rule for the whole colonies.

The suffragettes protested and went door to door getting signatures for woman's rights, they sent letters to newspapers and tried many different things to get woman's rights.
