CELL TRANSPORT - Coggle Diagram
CELL TRANSPORT
Passive transport
Doesn't need energy
Three divisions:
Simple diffusion
small, non polar molecules
carbon dioxide, oxygen
molecules pass through bilayer
Facilitated diffusion
large, polar molecules
glucose
Use transport proteins
Osmosis
water transport
Depending on the cells necessities it goes through simple diffusion or facilitated diffusion.
Molecules move from high to low concentration
With the gradient
Active transport
Uses energy as ATP
Molecules move from low to high concentration
Against the gradient
Divided into two categories
Through the membrane
Opposite sense of facilitated diffusion
Uses channel proteins
Cytosis
Endo
goes in the cell
Exo
goes out the cell
very large molecules are transported through vesicles
