        A butterfly is an insect that undergoes the changes of metamorphosis. They are known for their beautiful and colourful wings.
        
        Classroom activity: Teacher should show learners pictures of various insects and ask the learners to point out which of them are butterflies.
    - - The process of metamorphosis consists of four stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. The butterfly starts as an egg and hatches into a caterpillar, and then forms a chrysalis where it goes through a transformation before becoming a fully grown butterfly.
