Plant Cells
Parts of plant cells
Nucleus Centre that controls all activities within the cell and contains the DNA . IF removed will kill the cell.

Cell membrane. Thin outer layer that surrounds the cell. It controls the movement of substances in and out of the cell.
Cell wall. Tough outer cover surrounding the cell membrance if a plant cell. It protects and supports the entire cell and gives it a regular shape. It also allows substances to move in and out of the cell.
Chloroplast. A "Food Factory" in a plant cell that traps sunlight to allow photosynthesis to take place in.
Vacuole. A space within a cell that stores food , liquids and waste material. Large for plant cells.

functions
cytoplasm:The cytoplasm is the gel-like fluid inside the cell. It is the medium for chemical reaction. It provides a platform upon which other organelles can operate within the cell. All of the functions for cell expansion, growth and replication are carried out in the cytoplasm of a cell.
cell membrane:Cell membranes serve as barriers and gatekeepers. They are semi-permeable, which means that some molecules can diffuse across the lipid bilayer but others cannot.
vacuole:A vacuole is a membrane-bound cell organelle. In animal cells, vacuoles are generally small and help sequester waste products.
nucleus:the nucleus serves both as the repository of genetic information and as the cell's control center
