- - - - Ladybugs have 6 little legs in total.
      - They use their legs for walking but also as a sensory system.
      - One pair of legs can be used to release a bad smelling fluid as defence.
      - Their other legs can be used for taste and smelling for things around them.

        The long hind wings, under the Elytra are soft and used to fly by beating.
        
        The front wings or Elytra, are thick and protect the second pair of wings.
        
        Ladybugs have two sets of wings.
- - - - The most common ladybug is the seven-spotted ladybug that is bright red with black spots.
      - You can also get 2, 14, and 20-spotted ladybugs.
      - Some are red with black spots, black with red spots as well as white with black markings or stripes.

      - There are around 5000 different ladybugs species and can we identified by their spots.
  - - - Ladybugs come in a variety of colours with red, with black spots being the most common.
        
        Yellow and orange, are the second most common.
        
        They can also come in black with red spots.
        
        Ladybugs have different colours for a defensive purpose and to seem poisonous.

      - They feed mainly on aphids which eat plants.
      - They feed on spider mites, eating almost 100 mites a day.
      - They help with pollination and are beautiful to have in the garden.

  - - - Ladybugs can be found in habitats like; Gardens, grasslands, forests and more.
      - Their main source of food is colony of aphids so they usually lay their eggs near them.
      - They don’t usually need a water sources near them as they get their water from the moisture in larvae that they eat.
