Changing the wavelength and frequency of light will change its colour. Red light has a longer wavelength and lower frequency than blue light. In between red and blue light, our eyes detect the different colours that are seen in the rainbow. From the longest wavelengths to the shortest wavelengths they are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
