Waves
Seismic waves
Seismic waves are waves caused by a physical disturbance. Some of the physical disturbances are earthquakes and volcanoes.
Mechanical waves
Mechanical waves travel through a medium. Some examples of mechanical waves are water waves and sound waves.

Longitudinal waves
Longitudinal waves are when you are moving the string front and back. When it is pushed forward , it's called compression. When it is pulled backwards, it is called refraction.
